Dr David Cockshoot is a clinical tutor at the University of Leeds and teaches medicine in final year. He has long and wide experience in teaching and the organisation of teaching undergraduate medical students.
Voted Undergraduate (final year) Tutor of the Year 2005 and 2006 by Leeds Medical Student Representative Council, Dr. Cockshoot is also a practising clinician working in Primary Care, Neurology and Accident and Emergency Medicine.

Dr. Monfredi joined Leeds Medical School in 1996, and went on to achieve honours grade passes in all examinations throughout medical school, obtaining distinction grade passes in Anatomy, Pharmacology, Integrated Medical Topics, Medicine and Surgery. Between 1998 and 1999 he intercalated in BSc Clinical Sciences and was awarded first class honours. In 1999 he represented Leeds at the Meeting of Nobel Prizewinners in Lindau, Germany. He studied forensic pathology at the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner in Los Angeles and in New York City for his elective, and worked in Manhattan for the 6 weeks following the World Trade Center disaster on September the 11th 2001.
He obtained the Masser Prize in Medicine for best performance in final MB examinations, and the William Hey Medal for best overall performance over the five years at medical school. He is currently a Specialist Registrar in Cardiology, in Manchester.
